The biodiversity of tundra is low:

Tundra biome animals names. It is the coldest biome. Each of these animals have their own roles to play in such a society in order for all to survive. Harsh winds, cold temperatures and a short growing season mean that life in a tundra climate is extremely challenging.

Tundra wildlife includes small mammals—such as norway lemmings ( lemmus lemmus ), arctic hares ( lepis arcticus ), and arctic ground squirrels ( spermophilus parryii )—and large mammals, such as caribou ( rangifer tarandus ). Antarctica is considered to have its own biome since there is no precipitation in antarctica, and is still very cold. Polar bears and penguins are two of the animals commonly associated with the tundra biome.

Some humans inhabit the tundra. There are few species with large populations. There are many other types of animals that are able to live in the tundra biome.

They include grizzly bear, musk ox, snowy owl, and the magnificent polar bear. There are also a few fish species. The animal possesses short legs and is sturdy.

Some of the smaller mammals are lemmings and snowshoe rabbits. The first kind of tundra is alpine tundra. But, sadly this particular biome's animals are quickly dying off from the melting snow from global warming or just humans killing either from weapons or pollution.

The predators of this tundra biome are polar bears, arctic foxes, and wolves. In asia, europe, and north america a vast northern zone encircling the arctic ocean is known as the tundra. Ermines are found all throughout canada, northern usa, and parts of eurasia in tundras.
